While speaking to Robbi at the Detroit show, I learned that this sister was in the vicinity. He mentioned that it would have been great if she could have accompanied me - they hadn't seen each other in a number of years. I found this to be an interesting tidbit.

After returning home, I pondered upon the thought for some time. It truly would have been great for the two to meet again, I thought. Families are the root of one's life.

Three Fish Although it was a longshot (the whole idea), we were on our way. After a trek of about eight or nine hours, I arrived in Ithaca, New York, alongside Robbi's sister Nita. We had a surprise for Robbi (kind of like icing on top of the icing of the cake). Robbi's lifelong friend from South Africa was with us as well. John was visiting from South Africa for a short while. The two hadn't seen each other in over 10 years!!! What a wonderful suprise it would be!!

After seeking lodging, our next goal was to locate the club. As we neared, Robbi "blitzed" our car from behind. It scared the shit out of me, but it was great to see him again. When John, Nita and I met up with Robbi later in the evening, emotions ran high as the family reunited. It was a great start to an already perfect evening.

Three Fish A while later, we met Robbi at the club as the show began. Throughout the evening, the setlist remained about the same as in Detroit. But, as Robbi had mentioned, the Three [or Four, for that matter] were able to evolve the songs into a new realm of existence, which, as he explained some bands strive to accomplish for ten years. They had done it in only a matter of a days.

After the exceptional show, we all met again to round out a truly spectacular experience.

For me, it was a moment of spiritual enlightenment. For Robbi and his family, it must have been a moment of spiritual rejoice.

Thanks for listening,
Jason
